Ready detail of the crib is considered to be cylindrical log of set-up parameters (diameter and length)with executed technological elements on it such as cross blazes, . “cups ”, longitudinal notch and compensatory curf.

Cylindrical machine STS-6.5, designed by MAGR specialists enables to make all operations which are necessary to get ready details of the crib.

Starting stock (log )is put in necessary position on the machine between riparian and gravity centers. Machine slide which have remote control and mechanisms with electric drives makes relevant slow movements along turning stock material(30-100 rounds/minute)..

The speed of slide can be fluently adjusted due to variable speed driver. Spinning (4000 rounds\minute) cylindrical mill with six cutters enables to receive cylindrical surface of high quality.

Log processing is made during one or several movements of slide, the processing can be made within two-side movements of the slide. .

For one pass , mill can cut up to 60 mm for one diameter. Usually we advise to make the last cut as clean i.e. with slower speed of the slide with maximum rotation of the stock .

The diameter of received cylinder depending on usage can vary from 160 up to 280 mm. Permissible declination from set diameter for length 6,5 m does not exceed 2-3 mm.

To prevent vibration of the stock, which can appear during processing of cylinders with little diameter (less 180 mm) with great length (more 5 m), lunette is provided for slide.

Cylindered stock is fixed from crank provided by plunger and notch is made for one pass of slide by combined mill.

The cups are marked on the log in accordance with specifications and made by the same combined drill. Vertical feed is made automatically.

The machine can be completed with electronic line to mark the cups. Compensatory kerf with depth up to 70 mmis made by rotatory saw.

Marking and execution of cups takes some time during which cylindered machine nothing “cylinder ” i.e. does not make main function. In order to increase productivity CTS- 6,5, MAGR offers machines which are intended to make cups on cylindered stocks.
First of all let’s consider adzing machine SÇ-280. Its ingenuity consists in that its cutting tool is narrow band-saw i.e. “lock saw. .

Practically all known “cupcutters” cut cups with mills,having certain diameter that require availability standards sizes of mills for all diameters of cups. Power of drive of such “cupcutters” is significant and amounts to 5,5 up to 11 kW.

Proposed machine enables without shift of the tools to make cup with any diameter ranging from 160 up to 280 mm. Fluent adjustment of cup diameter is made due to flywheel rotation with controller on scale. The machine can make cups under angle relevant to axle of the log.

If necessary one can make so-called “end cup. The work is operated by one electric motor with power up to 1,5 kW.

One saw can make up to hundred of made cups within diameter of the log up to 200 mm.

Small-sized portable device for cutting of cup UNBCH-200 is offered to field work solely at the building ground. The device can make cups aw well under angle 90° to the axle of the log , as under angle up to + 45°.
